Jan. 1, 2010 was a red letter day for Phoenix Decorating Co. – a total of nine sponsors of Phoenix-built floats were honored by the Tournament of Roses with awards for their excellence in several categories.
Award winners were:
- AMERICAN HONDA – Tournament Special Award, for Exceptional Merit in Multiple Categories
- BAYER ADVANCED – Queen’s Award, for Most Effective Use & Display of Roses
- BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA – National Award, for Best Depiction of Life in the USA
- DONATE LIFE – Theme Award, for Excellence in Presenting the Parade Theme
- KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL – Isabella Coleman Award, for Best Presentation of Color & Color Harmony Through Floral Use
- ODD FELLOW & REBEKAHS – Princess’s Award, for Most Beautiful Float
- RFD-TV – Craftsman Award, Exceptional Showmanship and Dramatic Impact
- ROTARY ROSE PARADE COMMITTEE – Tournament Volunteers’ Award, for Best Floral Design of the Theme
- TRADER JOE’S – Crown City Innovation Award, for Best Use of Imagination & Innovation to Advance the Art of Float Design
